Cold Busters! Battling Colds the Natural Way

15 Jun Natural cold busting juice recipe

“Sunny days sweeping the clouds away. On my way to where the air is sweet.” Well, sunny days have bid us goodbye and the rainy (or monsoon, as how we’d call it) season is here yet again. There is nothing like a long bout of cold or flu to welcome the season!

Better arm up with tons of vitamin C to fight the bad guys!
Check out my super quick and easy badass cold busting smoothie recipe that will definitely knock out those viruses before they can say “GOTCHA!”
Grab your handy dandy trusty blender and start of with some…
 How about them apples?
Unpeeled Apples. Yes, with skin on cause we’re badass like that. Seriously though, do NOT peel your Apples! Aside from the extra fiber, the peels contains natural substances that does wonders for your health!

Billy, The Silly Kiwi
Although kiwis can be eaten with their skin on, I prefer to peel the hairy skin off! This succulent badass  is one of the highest source of vitamin C, more than twice the RDA! Kickass!
The Super Spice: Ginger Spice!
Freshly boiled ginger. Stop complaining, you haven’t even tried it yet. Leave the flesh and just use the juice for this recipe. This badass soothes the throat,  is a natural antibiotic, antifungal, and knocks out inflammation. Totally kickass!
In true Tarantino fashion, we shall use: Garcon!
Garcon, On the Rocks, s’il vous plait!
Ice is optional. This is just a personal preference. For some reason, eating ice pops or ice and drinking cold beverage helps clear my clogged nasal passages. True story, bro. Dare if you must.

*If you want to skip the ice, just pop some sliced fruit in the freezer and follow the step below, et voila! Skip the sugar too!

And blend, grind, shake all the way to a cold-free you! You may also add other fruits and veggies like carrots, pineapple, sugar beets…basically, whatever you prefer. This is perfect for babies and kids too! Just lay off the ice and sugar.
For an adulterated version, you can add a shot or two of rum, vodka, or tequila…good for the soul, not for the faint-hearted. Cold-busting instant cocktail that is definitely hardcore!
